UAH Drops 6-3 Decision to No. 34 Southern Indiana

BOX SCORE
HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's tennis team played its third nationally-ranked opponent in its last four games on Thursday night, falling 6-3 at Athletic Club Alabama to No. 34 Southern Indiana. The Chargers slip to 4-8 with the setback.

USI captured all three points in doubles but the sweep did not come easily as the Chargers were particularly competitive at the third position where the pairing of Harrison Stone and Timo Christen fell by the narrowest of margins at 9-8.

In singles action, Guilherme Coleta leveled his individual record on the year at 4-4 after picking up a 6-4, 6-1 win at the sixth position, while both Sebastian Rohrbach and Elliot Hopson were 6-2, 6-2 winners at the third and fourth spots, respectively, to give UAH its three points.

Rohrbach also earned his fourth singles victory of the season, while Hopson picked up his third.

The Chargers will get right back at it on Friday morning as the team welcomes its second straight GLVC opponent when Bellarmine visits. The match is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start.
