HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team split the series-opening doubleheader against Union on Sunday as the Bulldogs took game one 6-5 before the Chargers won the night cap by a 7-0 final at Charger Park. UAH moves to 21-22 (14-15 GSC), while UU stands at 28-16 (16-12 GSC).

Game one: Union 6, UAH 5
Game-Changer
- With UAH clinging to a 2-1 lead after two full innings in game one, Union turned the tables to two runs apiece in the fourth and fifth innings on the way to the 6-5 win over the Chargers to start the three-game series.

- UAH pulled ahead early as Rhodes drove in ware on a RBI single in the bottom of the first, which Union quickly negated with one run of its own in the top of the second.
- The Chargers regained the lead in the bottom half of the second on a RBI single by
Wes Anderson, but the Bulldogs proceeded to scored two runs in the fourth, two more in the fifth and one run in the sixth to maintain a 6-2 advantage.
