HUNTSVILLE | Picking up a strong conference win at home, The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team earned a 2-0 victory over Valdosta State on Friday night at Charger Park. The Chargers improve to 3-2-0 (2-1-0 Gulf South Conference), while VSU drops to 3-1-0 (1-1-0 GSC).

Turning Points
-The Chargers opened the scoring in just the eighth minute of the contest when
Lauren Mayer fed it to
Riley Ridgeway who put it past the Valdosta State keeper to make it a 1-0 lead, and that score would stand through the halftime break.
-The second half started similarly for the Chargers as Ridgeway set up
Arieal Alexander in the 51st minute, pushing the UAH lead to 2-0, and
Megan Buford would record three saves in the duration of regulation to help seal the victory.
