UAH Falls at Montevallo on Friday Night in GSC Play

MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team fell in Gulf South Conference action on the road on Friday night, dropping a 2-0 decision to host Montevallo. The Chargers slip to 3-6-0 (2-5-0 GSC) with the setback, while the Falcons improve to 5-2-0 (3-2-0 GSC).
 
Turning Points
-Montevallo opened the scoring early as Allye Darnell scored just 66 seconds into the contest to make it a 1-0 game, and the Falcons would add another early goal in the 11th when Darnell tallied again.
 
Inside the Box Score
-The Falcons established an 11-9 advantage in shots in the contest including a 7-2 margin in shots on goal.
-Corners in the contest were even at 6-6.
-A total of 22 fouls were whistled in the game, and there were five cards issued.
-Both Sydney Pfankuch and Hannah Oglesby recorded a team-best two shots in the game.
-Megan Buford made five saves in the setback.
