BACK AT IT: The UAH men's soccer team returns to action this weekend, facing its third consecutive nationally-ranked team to start the season in Florida Tech on Friday at 4 p.m. before playing Davenport at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Both contests will be play at Auburn Montgomery as part of the 2017 Capital City Classic.

RECAPPING LAST WEEK: The Chargers began the season in the Sunshine State, falling to then-No. 14 Palm Beach 3-1 and then-No. 10 Lynn 4-0 in games that were closer than the scorelines would indicate.

FIRE AWAY: Corentin Diverres and
Jordan Wright are tie for the team lead in shots after the first weekend of the year as both fired off three shots in the two contests. Two of the attempts from Diverres were on target, and he scored the team's lone goal of the trip with his tally at Palm Beach Atlantic.

GETTING IN ON THE ACTION: The Chargers utilized 20 different players on the road trip to Florida including eight players who made their collegiate debuts.

ABOUT FLORIDA TECH: FIT started the season with a pair of victories at home last weekend, knocking off Francis Marion 4-2 on Saturday before beating GSC member Shorter 5-1 on Labor Day. Offensively the team is led by Brandon Smalley who has scored twice and added an assist to total five points. In goal, the team utilized both Luuk Teurlinx and Christopher Page in picking up the victories.

SERIES HISTORY: UAH is 3-3-1 all-time against the Panthers.

ABOUT DAVENPORT: The Panthers are 1-1-0 on the year after beating Missouri St. Louis 5-1 before falling 4-3 in overtime at Bellarmine, and DU will take on AUM on Friday. In the team's first two games, Brogan Shrimpton has scored four times while adding an assist for nine points, and goalkeeper Aaron Orban owns a 2.42 goals against average.
