MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team was tripped up on Saturday, falling 47-41 at Auburn Montgomery. The Chargers slip to 10-6 (4-5 Gulf South Conference), while AUM improves to 7-8 (3-5 GSC).
Turning Point
-A 6-0 run to start the fourth quarter allowed AUM to erase a three-point deficit, setting the tone for the frame in which the Warhawks would outscore UAH 15-6.

Aryn Sanders led UAH as the only player to reach double figures as she scored 15, and she also picked up a team-best four steals.
-The Chargers were led on the glass by
Katie Speegle who grabbed nine rebounds to go along with her eight points, while
Chandler Elder paced the team with four assists.
-Regan Cross led all scorers in the contest with 18.
-For the game, UAH outshot AUM by a 30.6 percent to 28.6 percent clip, while the hosts won the rebounding battle by a 42-37 margin.
-The Warhawks forced UAH to turn the ball over 22 times and built up a 22-8 difference in points off turnovers.

-After the hosts scored the opening bucket, the Chargers ripped off an 8-0 run to claim an 8-2 advantage at the 6:33 mark of the opening quarter, and UAH would go into the second frame holding a 12-6 lead.
-A 7-3 run for UAH then gave the Chargers a double-figure cushion at 19-9 at the 6:44 mark of the period, but a 7-2 spurt for the Warhawks to close the quarter made it a 21-16 game at the half.
-AUM then scored the first six points of the third quarter to take its first lead of the game at 22-21 with 8:11 left in the period, but the Chargers responded by outscoring the home team 14-10 with an
Emme Willoughby 3-pointer just before the end of the quarter allowing UAH to go up 35-32 headed into the fourth.
-The Warhawks then limited UAH to just two field goals and a free throw in the fourth quarter on their way to the victory.
Noteworthy
-This marks the fifth time this season that Sanders has recorded multiple steals, and the four is the most for her since she registered five in the season opener against Lynn.
