HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team fell at home on Saturday, dropping a narrow 75-72 decision to visiting North Alabama. The Chargers slip 12-7 (5-6 Gulf South Conference) with the setback, while UNA improves to 10-8 (5-6 GSC).

Turning Point
-The Lions went on a 14-0 run over a six-minute span late in the second half to turn what was a 10-point UAH lead into a 69-65 advantage for the guests with 1:30 left in the game, and UNA would not permit the Chargers to pull any closer than two in the closing moments.

Chayse Elliott led the Chargers on the afternoon as he scored 21 as he went 5-for-10 from beyond the arc, and he also grabbed a team-best five rebounds while matching a team-high with six assists.
-Also knocking down five 3-pointers was
Tanner Finley, and he was the only other Charger to score in double figures as he poured in 19.
-Matching Elliott's assist total was
Kip Owens who also dished out six.
-North Alabama was led offensively by Kendarius Smith who scored 24.
-For the game, UNA connected on 43.8 percent of its attempts to outshoot the hosts who shot 42.6 percent from the floor, and the Lions also held a wide 48-27 advantage in rebounds.
-The Lions proved to be quite strong inside in the contest, outscoring UAH 30-16 in the paint, and UNA also built up a 14-8 advantage in second chance points.

-UNA built up as much as a six-point lead in the opening half, holding that cushion at 23-17 at the 6:07 mark of the period, but the Chargers would close the half on a 17-8 run with an Elliott triple putting UAH ahead 34-31 going into the halftime break.
-After Finley hit three 3-pointers in the first 2:34 of the second half to put UAH up 43-36, the Lions responded by going on an 8-0 run to reclaim the lead at 44-43 at the 15:25 mark.
-UAH then controlled the next nearly eight minutes, outscoring the guests 22-11 while going 6-for-10 from 3-point land during that span to build up the 10-point lead at 65-55 after a
Sam Orf triple fell with 7:33 left in the contest.
-The guests then went on the big 14-0 run to take the lead before making free throws in the waning moments to seal the contest.

Â-Elliott has scored more than 20 points in three of his last four games, and the senior is now averaging 14.9 points per contest.
-Orf returned from injury for his first action since Dec. 5, and the true freshman scored eight and dished out an assist in 18 minutes.
