HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team was tripped up on Tuesday evening at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall as No. 24 Union won the GSC matchup by a 74-67 final. UAH drops to 10-5 (4-4 GSC), while UU improves to 14-1 (7-0 GSC).

- After a successful three-pointer by
Chandler Elder with 5:07 remaining in the fourth quarter slimmed the Union lead to just two at 61-59, the Bulldogs were able to maintain their edge over the Chargers with a 13-8 run over the final five minutes of play to hold on for the 74-67 win on Tuesday.

- The Chargers offense was heavily spread out on Tuesday with five different players reaching double-digit scoring in the loss, paced by Elder and
Morgan Tipton who tied for the team-high in points with 12 apiece.
- Elder had a stellar all-around performance, as she notched a team-best six assists and tied for the team lead in rebounds with seven boards while going 5-for-9 from the field and 1-for-2 on three-pointers.

- The Chargers shot 49.0 percent (24-49) from the field and 38.1 percent (8-21) on three-pointers, while limiting the Bulldogs to a 40.6 percent (26-64) success rate from the field and a 24.0 percent (6-25) from beyond the arc.

- After Union owned an early 13-6 advantage over UAH in the initial five minutes of play, the Chargers outscored the Bulldogs 10-3 last four minutes of the first quarter to make it a 16-16 tie heading to the second.
- UAH and Union kept pace with one another for the majority of the second quarter, with UAH taking a 32-30 lead with 1:26 remaining before two straight baskets by UU's Jada Perkins – who scored 32 points in the contest – gave the Bulldogs a 34-32 edge at the half.
- Union added just one point to its lead during the third quarter as it held an 18-17 edge in the frame to lead 52-49 entering the fourth.
- The Chargers cut the lead to two at 61-59 at 5:07 of the fourth before Union outscored UAH 13-8 in the final five minutes of the game to earn the 74-67 win.
