Box Score MOBILE, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team played to a 2-2 draw with host Spring Hill on Friday afternoon. The Chargers move to 3-9-2 (2-6-1 Gulf South Conference), while the Badgers go to 1-10-1 (1-7-1 GSC).
 
Turning Points
-The scoring in the contest started in the 23rd when Melanie Brannon assisted on Brynn Colvin's goal to lift the Chargers ahead 1-0, and that score would hold until the 36th when SHC's Sidney Spivey scored to level the match at 1-1.
-UAH would take a lead into the halftime break, however, as Kirsten LaPlante's free kick would be fired into the back of the net to give the road a team a 2-1 lead.
-Spivey then got her second goal of the game in the 68th, and the score would hold there through regulation and 20 minutes of extra time.
-UAH had the only chances of overtime, posting three shots including one on goal in each of the two periods.
 
Inside the Box Score
-The Chargers finished the match with a 19-12 advantage in shots which also included an 11-4 margin in attempts on target, and the visiting side also earned eight corners in the contest compared to just two for the Badgers.
-LaPlante led all players in the contest with four shots, while each of Alex Barnett, Arieal Alexander, and Colvin took a pair.
-LaPlante also had a team-high three shots on goal, and Alexander put a pair on target. 
-Megan Buford made a pair of stops in goal for the Chargers.
 
Noteworthy
-Both Colvin and LaPlante score their second goals of the season, becoming the sixth and seventh UAH players this season to own multiple scores.
-Brannon's assist is her first of her career, and it pads her team-best point total which is now 13.
 
Next Time Out
-The Chargers will return to action on Sunday against West Florida in Pensacola. Kick-off is slated for 12:30 p.m.
