HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team picked up its 20th win of the season on Friday night, rolling past visiting Union 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-22) at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. The Chargers improve to 20-9 (8-5 Gulf South Conference), while the Bulldogs slip to 6-23 (2-10 GSC).

-The Chargers hit a match-high .276 in the opening set while holding the guests to a -.062 mark, picking up the 25-11 victory in the frame to set the tone for the contest.

Inside the Action
-With the first set tied at 7-7, an
Abby Brooks kill followed by Brooks holding serve for the next 11 points put the Chargers up by an insurmountable 19-7 advantage to help the team start the match out with a 1-0 lead.
-In the second set, a similar situation would arise with the stanza tied at 5-5 before another Brooks kill started an 8-0 run that put the Chargers ahead 13-5, and the Bulldogs were unable to pull any closer than five points the remainder of the second.
-Despite UAH jumping out to a 5-0 lead in the third, the final set would be the closest with Union eventually grabbing a 19-18 advantage, but the Chargers closed the frame on a 7-3 run to seal the match.

-The Chargers swung at a .198 clip for the night while holding Union to just a .010 hitting percentage.
-The Bulldogs finished the evening with a 9-6 advantage in blocks, and the guests also built up a slim 49-48 advantage in digs in the game.

-This is the 17th time this season that Duncan has collected 30 or more assists, and she now owns 887 for the year.
-LeDuc reaches double figures in kills for the 10th time this year.
-The 14 digs for Brooks match a career-best for the sophomore who also had 14 against Christian Brothers on Sept. 14, and the double-double is her third of the season.

-The Chargers will be back at it on Saturday when Christian Brothers visits the Rocket City. The match is slated for a 1 p.m. start on the UAH campus.
