UAH Cruises to 3-0 Victory at Mississippi College Friday

CLINTON, Miss. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team returned to Gulf South Conference play with a 3-0 win (28-26, 25-20, 25-0) at Mississippi College on Friday evening. UAH improves to 17-4 (6-2 GSC), while MC dips to 7-12 (1-7 GSC).
 
Turning Point
- With Mississippi College holding a late 26-25 lead over UAH, the Chargers scored three straight times for a 28-26 win in the first for the early lead on the way to the three-set victory as the Blue & White went on to take the second and third frames by consecutive 25-20 scores.
 
Inside the Box Score
- Anna LeDuc led the Chargers offense overall with a nine-kill performance, while also rating second on the squad with 13 digs.
- Both Isabelle Barnes and Abby Brooks finished second on the UAH attack with eight kills, with Barnes holding a team-best .217 hitting percentage.
- Sabrina Duncan chipped in a double-double with a team-high 30 assists and 10 digs as well as five kills.
- Haley Hop anchored the defense with a match-best 22 digs, headlining a total of three Chargers with at least 10 scoops.
- Barnes and Sanford tied for the team lead in blocks with three total blocks each.
- Both Duncan and Lorah Yonce added one service ace apiece.

- Hop has now recorded 20 or more digs in three straight matches.
