ATLANTA |A trio of sophomores led The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team to a big road win on Tuesday night, knocking off host Clark Atlanta 78-64. The Chargers improve to 3-1 on the season, while Clark Atlanta is now 1-4.

Turning Point
-UAH's best spurt of the game came with the team up by 13 at the 15:52 mark of the second half as the team went on a 10-0 run that featured no missed shots and only one possession that did not result in points, allowing the Chargers to take command of the game at 60-37 with 13:11 left in the contest.

-The three sophomores accounted for 61 of UAH's points with
Sam Orf scoring a team-best 24 points to go along with eight rebounds and four assists, while
Seth Swalve went 6-for-7 from 3-point land to finish with 22 points and five assists.

JJ Kaplan rounded out the double-figure scorers with 15, and he was a monster on the glass, grabbing a game-best 17 rebounds to help the Chargers outrebound the hosts by a 46-30 clip.
-A 58.6 percent shooting mark in the first half allowed the Chargers to finish the game shooting 47.6 percent, and UAH's defensive effort limited CAU to a 37.5 percent success rate from the floor.
-UAH knocked down 12 3-pointers in the game while limiting the Panthers to go just 8-for-28 from beyond the arc.

-After both teams failed to do anything offensively in the game's opening minutes, Swalve hit his first 3-pointer of the night at the 17:34 mark of the first half to give UAH a lead it would not relinquish the entire game, and the Chargers would quickly push the advantage into double figures at 16-6 after another Swalve triple with 14:36 on the clock.
-The Panthers would be able to narrow the margin to just five later in the half, but UAH would hold a nine-point lead at 33-24 after Orf hit a trey with just under a minute left before halftime, giving him 17 points in the opening period.
-In the second half, the hosts would push back after falling behind by the aforementioned 23-point deficit, pulling to within 10 at 67-57 with 6:25 left in the game, but UAH was able to respond by outscoring the Panthers 9-4 over the next five minutes to go back up by 15 after Swalve's sixth 3-pointer made it 76-61 with just over a minute to go.

Noteworthy
-Orf's 24 points are the most by a Charger this season and also represent his career-best, surpassing the 22 he scored in the season opener against Saint Leo.
-The double-double for Kaplan is UAH's first on the year and the first of his career, and his career-best 17 rebounds mark the most in a game by a UAH player since Preston Herring had 18 on Dec. 14, 2014, against West Georgia.
-After making rebounding a focus following the opening weekend of the year, the Chargers have had 46 boards in back-to-back games, the best two-game total since at least the 2011-12 season.
