CLEVELAND, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team fell on the road Wednesday night, dropping an 82-72 decision at Lee. The Chargers slip to 14-12 (7-11 Gulf South Conference), while the Flames improve to 14-11 (9-9 GSC).

Turning Point
-After the Chargers cut the deficit to five at 77-72 with 1:34 left in the contest, the hosts held UAH scoreless while getting a big three and a pair of free throws to secure the victory.

Justin Ward had 21 to lead UAH in the setback, and he was joined in double figures by
Seth Swalve who scored 19 and
Kip Owens who added 12.
-Owens also handed out a team-high seven assists, while
Chayse Elliott led the Chargers on the glass with seven rebounds.
-The Flames were led by Colton Blevins who scored 20.
-On the night, the Flames held a slim 48.3 percent to 47.3 percent advantage from the floor, and the hosts also outrebounded the Chargers by a 32-27 clip.

Inside the Flow
-The Chargers controlled play through much of the opening minutes and opened up a 16-7 lead by the 14:10 mark of the stanza, but a 10-0 run over nearly a four-minute span for the hosts would put them up 17-16 on their way to leading by as many as 10 including at 42-32 at the half.
-Lee pushed the lead out to 13 less than two minutes into the second half, but the Chargers would quickly cut it down to just six at the 16:33 mark of the period 49-43.
-Another Lee spurt pushed them back up by 10 with 14:45 left before UAH responded again, and a dunk from Ward just over two minutes later made it a five-point game at 55-50 with 12:13 left in the contest.
-The remainder of the half went much like that, and the Flames went ahead 75-62 with 5:19 left in the contest before the Chargers were able to narrow the gap to the aforementioned five after Ward's layup fell with 1:34 remaining.

Noteworthy
-Ward has scored at least 20 points now in 11 games this season, and he has registered double figures in seven straight.
-The 19 for Swalve represents the second-best scoring night of the year for the freshman.

-The Chargers return home for the final two games of the regular season starting with Saturday's contest against Mississippi College. Tip-off for that game is slated for 4 p.m., and UAH's three seniors will be honored between the women's and men's games.
