UAH Powers its Way to Doubleheader Sweep of Anderson

EMERSON, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team swept Anderson in a nonconference doubleheader at Lake Point on Friday afternoon by scores of 9-5 and 8-6. UAH rises to 3-3, while AU dips to 2-6.

Game Changer
- The Chargers utilized a pair of big innings which powered the squad to a 9-5 win in Friday's opener, as the Blue & White went ahead early with three runs in the bottom of the first followed by a four-run rally later in the game in the bottom of the fifth.
 
Key Plays
- UAH generated an early 3-0 lead as Nolan Ramsey hit a RBI triple off the wall in right, immediately followed by a two-run home run by Jack Stamper.
- Anderson found the board in the top of the fourth on a sac fly to cut the UAH lead to 3-1.
- The Chargers put together a four-run rally in the fifth to own a 7-1 advantage over the Trojans, thanks to a RBI hit-by-pitch by Tyler McCown, a two-RBI single by AJ Walden and a one-run single by Stamper.

- UAH mounted a four-run rally in the bottom half of the second to knot the game at 4-4, highlighted by a solo home run by Brady Bedingfield and a RBI single by Tanner Burns.
- AU regained the lead with two runs in the fourth, which UAH cut down to a 6-5 lead with a single run in the bottom half of the fourth on a RBI groundout by Walden.
