HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team took both games of a doubleheader over Christian Brothers on Saturday afternoon at Charger Park by scores of 4-3 and 3-0 to open the three-game Gulf South Conference series. UAH improves to 13-8 (7-4 GSC), while CBU dips to 6-17 (1-10 GSC).

Game Changer
- After a scoreless first, UAH pulled ahead with a four-run bottom of the second which included a two-RBI triple by Tanner Burns followed by a mammoth, two-run homer to right by Tyler McCown on the way to the 4-3 win in the series opener.

- UAH totaled nine base hits in the game one victory, led by McCown and Ben Rhodes who each chipped in two hits.
- McCown and Burns tied for a game-high two RBI, thanks to McCown's two-run homer and Burns' two-RBI triple in the second.

- The Chargers benefitted from a dazzling complete-game shutout by left-hander Hunter Hood on the way to the 3-0 victory to seal the doubleheader sweep, as the senior tossed the full 7.0 innings with just four hits allowed, no runs, no walks and seven strikeouts.
