JACKSON, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team opened the three-game Gulf South Conference series at Union with a 6-2 win on Friday afternoon. UAH improves to 22-19 (11-13 GSC), while UU dips to 13-30 (4-20 GSC).

- With the game tied 2-2 in the top of the eighth, UAH posted a pivotal four-run inning – highlighted by a three-run home run by
Nolan Ramsey – to take a 6-2 lead on the way to the series-opening victory.

- Union was first on the board with a two-run home run by Hayden Lewis in the bottom half of the first.
- After five scoreless innings, Bedingfield tied the game at 2-2 thanks to a two-run single to left which plated by Acuff and Copeland.
