HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's lacrosse team closed out the regular season on Saturday, falling 15-6 to Great Lakes Valley Conference foe Young Harris at Charger Park. The Chargers finish the regular season at 8-6 (3-2 GLVC), while Young Harris captures the regular season conference title and improves to 12-3 (5-0 GLVC).

Game Changer
-After the Chargers narrowed the deficit to just two with 6:25 left in the second quarter, the Mountain Lions scored the next five goals to effectively seal the contest.

Kevin Coppinger,
Emory Weaver, and
James Cox scored twice for the Chargers, while
Caleb Merrow added an assist.
-The guests held a slim 34-31 advantage in shots in the game, and the Mountain Lions held a 24-17 advantage in shots that were on target.
-A key difference in the game came in face-offs as Young Harris won 19 of the 23 in the contest.
-The guests picked up 26 ground balls to UAH's 21, and YHC was 8-for-10 in clears with the Chargers going 9-for-14.

-The guests grabbed the first two goals of the game, but the Chargers had a nice response with Cox scoring at the 8:37 mark of the opening quarter before Weaver tied the game at 2-2 with 3:43 left in the period.
-The Mountain Lions then scored four in a row to go up 6-2, but UAH would pull within two when Coppinger scored twice in just over two minutes to make it a 6-4 game with 6:25 left until the half.
-YHC then scored the aforementioned five straight, holding UAH off the board in the third while taking an 11-4 lead before Cox scored his second at the 12:24 mark of the fourth.
-Weaver picked up UAH's final goal of the game with 5:29 left in the contest.

-Coppinger retakes the team lead in points as he now has 37 from 22 goals and 15 assists.
-Weaver is now second on the team with 23 goals, while Cox moves his goal total to 12.
