UAH Falls on the Road at West Georgia on Sunday

CARROLLTON, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team wrapped up its road swing through the Peach State on Sunday, falling 4-0 at West Georgia. The Chargers are now 2-8-1 (1-5-0 Gulf South Conference), while UWG improves to 4-4-1 (4-2-0 GSC).
 
Turning Points
-Alexis Lewis tallied in the 33rd minute, giving UWG a 1-0 lead that would last through halftime.
-The Wolves then earned goals in the 53rd, 64th, and 67th to create the 4-0 final.
 
Inside the Box Score
-West Georgia established a 26-10 edge in shots on the day including a 12-1 advantage in shots on goal, and the hosts earned four corners to two for the Chargers.
-Megan Buford made eight saves in the setback.
-Brynn Colvin took a team-high three shots, while Rachil Collins was responsible for UAH's attempt that was on target.
-The teams combined for 19 fouls, and the official went to the book twice.
 
Noteworthy
-Buford now sits atop the GSC in saves on the season as the redshirt sophomore has 62 for the year.
