LEBANON, Ill. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team dropped its road contest at McKendree, falling 2-0 on Friday afternoon. The Chargers slip to 0-3-0 on the season, while the Bearcats improve to 2-0-0.

Turning Points
-McKendree made two first-half goals stand as the hosts scored in the 18th and 25th minutes to create the eventual 2-0 final.
-The Chargers nearly cut the lead in half just before the halftime break when
Arieal Alexander had a good effort, but the McKendree keeper was up to the challenge and prevented UAH from getting on the board.

-The Bearcats built up a 19-7 edge in shots in the contest including a 12-4 edge in shots that were on frame.
-McKendree also held a 6-2 advantage in corners.

-Buford – who led the GSC with 87 saves a year ago in her freshman campaign – has now logged double figures in saves in three games during her career, including a 10-save performance against McKendree a year ago.
-The three shots on goal for Alexander represent the most for her in a game since she logged five against Shorter on Oct. 14, 2016, in her freshman season.

-The Chargers will return to Huntsville for its home opener at Charger Park, welcoming Alabama A&M to the UAH campus on Monday evening. Kick-off against the Division I institution is slated for 7 p.m.
