CLINTON, Miss. | Winning for the fifth time in its past six games, The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team rolled past host Mississippi College by a 87-68 on Saturday afternoon. UAH improves to 14-5 (7-4 Gulf South Conference) with the victory, while the Choctaws fall to 4-12 (1-10 GSC).

-The Chargers scored 10 of the game's first 12 points to set the tone in a game that saw UAH never trail.

-UAH had four different players score in double figures led by
JJ Kaplan's 16-point, eight-rebound showing that saw him go 5-for-8 from the floor and a perfect 4-for-4 at the foul line.

Malik Cook-Stroupe came off the bench to go 6-for-7 on his way to scoring 15 points, while both
Seth Swalve and
Sam Orf scored 12 in the game.
-Orf turned in an especially strong overall performance, adding seven rebounds and seven assists.

Kerney Lane also had a strong contest, going 4-for-4 and scoring nine.
-For the game, UAH connected on 67.3 percent of its overall attempts and was a strong 50.0 percent from 3-point land by going 9-for-18, while the hosts shot 50.8 percent.

-The Chargers scored the game's first points and after MC briefly tied it, a Swalve 3-pointer would start an 8-0 run that put the visitors ahead ultimately for good in the contest.
-The lead jumped into double figures quickly, and UAH led by as many as 17 points in the opening half before 46-30 lead into the locker room at the break.
-The Choctaws scored the first six points of the second half to narrow the gap to 10, but that would be as close as MC would get as UAH eventually led by as many as 21 in the victory.

-Kaplan finishes the road swing averaging 19.5 points in the two contests after scoring 23 at Delta State on Thursday, and he records his 12th double-figure scoring performance of the season.
-The seven assists for Orf mark a career-best for the sophomore.
-UAH's 67.3 percent shooting mark is its highest of the season and best since at least the 2011-12 season.
-Ten different Chargers scored in the contest, and all 15 dressed players earned minutes.
