HOOVER, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team earned a thrilling 3-2 win over Sunshine State Conference foe Lynn on the first day of the 2019 GSC/SSC Volleyball Crossover on Friday. The Chargers improve to 14-5 and win their seventh straight game with the victory, while the Fighting Knights fall to 13-4.

-After falling behind 9-5 in the decisive fifth set, the Chargers would outscore Lynn 10-4 including scoring four straight while trailing 13-11 to seal the set.Â

Isabelle Barnes collected 11 kills in the game while also totaling 10 blocks, and she was joined in logging a double-double by
Sabrina Duncan who had 26 assists and 10 digs while also adding a team-high five aces.
-Other strong attacking performances came from
Kendall Scharbert who matched Barnes with a team-best 11 kills, while
Molly Presnell also had a double-double with 10 kills and 16 digs.
-Defensively,
Shayla Libby logged an impressive 33 digs as one of five Chargers to reach double figures in digs, and joining her, Presnell, and Duncan were

Abby Brooks with 10.
-At the net,
Jordan Grammer turned in a strong showing with seven blocks.
-As a team, UAH swung at a .113 clip, while UAH's defensive effort held Lynn to a hitting percentage of .089.
-The Chargers enjoyed a 16-11 edge in blocks, while Lynn held a 110-95 margin in digs.

-The 33 digs for Libby represent a season-best for the freshman.
-The 10 blocks for Barnes are her most this season, and she also records her first double-double on the year while moving to 90 blocks on the season.
-Duncan's double-double is her eighth of the season, while Presnell logs her sixth.
-The sevel blocks for Grammer match a career-best that she first established in her sophomore season against Shorter.
