HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team rolled to a home conference win on Monday night, blowing past visiting Auburn Montgomery by a 77-39 score at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. The Chargers improve to 3-4 (1-1 Gulf South Conference) with the win, while AUM slips to 4-3 (0-2 GSC).

-UAH scored the first eight points of the contest en route to outscoring the Warhawks by a 19-6 margin in the first quarter to take of the game.

Holly Harris knocked down five 3-pointers as part of a 7-for-11 night from the field on her way to scoring 21 points to lead the Chargers, and she added three rebounds and three steals for good measure.

Aryn Sanders who scored 19 to go along with her team-high eight rebounds, and the rebounding performance was matched by
Aryn Sanders who also scored 16.

Katie Speegle also was strong on the glass as she matched Pruitt and Sanders with the eight rebounds.
-Roni Richardson scored 13 as the only AUM player to reach double figures.
-For the game, UAH shot 43.3 percent while using a strong defensive effort to hold the guests to a 28.0 percent shooting mark, and the Chargers also outrebounded AUM by a 41-31 clip.
-The hosts turned the ball over just five times while forcing AUM to give it away 16 times for a 22-5 advantage in points off turnovers.

-A Sanders layup and back-to-back treys from Harris gave UAH the early 8-0 lead, and the advantage would balloon all the way to 13 at 19-6 by the end of the first quarter.
-A Pruitt triple at the 7:28 mark of the second stanza pushed the lead to 20 for the first time at 28-8, and the Chargers would lead by as many as 27 in the quarter before taking a 44-20 lead into the break.
-UAH would go up by as many as 30 in the third quarter and led 60-32 going into the fourth quarter, and the hosts outscored AUM 17-7 in the final frame to secure the 77-39 win.

-The 21 points for Harris mark a career-best performance for the sophomore from Franklin, Tennessee, surpassing the 20 she recorded on Feb. 16 of last year against Shorter.
-Pruitt also establishes a career high with the eight boards.
-The five turnovers match the season-low for the team who also gave it away just five times against Anderson on Nov. 16.
-The 28.0 field goal percentage for AUM is the lowest by an UAH opponent this season.
