UAH Falls in Sunday Road Game at Lee

CLEVELAND, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team fell on the road on Sunday, dropping a 3-0 decision to host Lee. The Chargers slip to 7-9-1 (5-7-0 Gulf South Conference), while the Flames improve to 13-3-0 (9-2-0 GSC).
 
Turning Points
-The hosts got on the board early, scoring in the second minute when Riley Engels tallied, and Lee added on to its lead with Riley Henry's goal in the 10th minute.
-The 2-0 score held through the halftime break, and it was not until the 71st that the Flames would pick up the third goal.
-The Flames were awarded a penalty kick which was stopped by Adriana Wright, but another PK was immediately awarded with Avery Engels converted to create the eventual 3-0 final.
 
Inside the Box Score
-The Flames outshot the Chargers by a 16-7 margin, though the shots on goal difference was just three at 8-5.
-Lee earned four corners in the contest while not conceding one to the guests.
-Brynn Colvin registered a team-high four shots including a team-best three that were on target.
-Wright finished the contest with five stops in goal while taking the loss.
-There were 16 fouls whistled in the game, and the official issued two cautions.

-Wright has now posted 82 saves on the season.
-Wright has stopped two penalties on the season.
 
Next Time Out
-The Chargers will close out the regular season on Friday when West Alabama visits for a 5 p.m. contest. UAH will honor its seniors that night prior to the contest.
