LAKELAND, Fla. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team began the 2019-20 campaign on Friday, falling 93-50 to host Florida Southern. UAH starts the year at 0-1, while FSC begins at 1-0.

-Florida Southern scored 21 points in each of the first three quarters and then poured in 30 in the fourth to lead the game nearly wire-to-wire.

Aryn Sanders grabbed a team-high eight rebounds while also dishing out a team-best three assists in addition to her nine points.
-Katerina Pazzaglia-Khomenko led all scorers in the contest as she scored 20 for the Mocs.
-FSC shot 50.7 percent from the field including a 56.5 percent mark from beyond the arc, while UAH connected on 25.0 percent of its attempts and was 6-for-25 from 3-point land.
-The hosts won the rebounding battle by a 42-37 margin.

-The game was tied at 4-4 early in the first quarter, but a strong push from the Mocs lifted the home team to a 21-9 lead at the end of the stanza.
-After Florida Southern expanded the lead to 25-9 at the 8:40 mark of the second, the Chargers would go on a 13-2 run to narrow the gap to just 27-22 with 4:00 left.
-The Mocs would then outscore UAH by a 15-5 clip over the remainder of the period to take a 42-27 lead into the locker room at the break.
-FSC then went in front by as many as 24 in the third quarter and outscored UAH 30-10 in the fourth to secure the 93-50 victory.

-This is the 15th double-figure scoring game for Harris in her career.
-Florida Southern was receiving votes in the WBCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll.
