Aryn Sanders poured in 26 points, but a late push from Saint Leo lifted the Lions to an 86-75 overtime victory over The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team on Saturday afternoon in a neutral site contest played on the campus of Florida Southern. UAH slips to 0-2 on the season, while SLU improves to 1-1.

Turning Point
-Saint Leo's Alex Button tied the game at 71-71 with two seconds left in regulation, and the Lions then outscored UAH by a 15-4 margin in the overtime period to secure the victory.

-Sanders had a strong day, recording a double-double as she knocked down 12 shots en route to the 26 points while also adding 13 rebounds and eight steals.

Inside the Flow
-The Chargers started the contest strong, jumping out to a 16-6 lead at the 4:16 mark of the opening quarter, but Saint Leo would whittle the UAH advantage down to just three at 19-16 going into the second.
-The second frame was a tight affair, but UAH led throughout the entirety of the quarter on its way to holding a 39-37 lead at the halftime break.
-After Saint Leo pulled within three at 50-47 at the midway point of the third, the Chargers would score eight of the next 13 points to build up a 58-50 margin going into the fourth.
-With UAH leading by that same eight-point margin with 7:23 left in regulation, the Lions would reel off a 12-2 run over the next four minutes, going in front for the first time since the early first quarter at 66-64 with 3:06 on the clock.
-UAH would eventually come back to tie the game, leading by two after a Sanders layup with 28 seconds remaining and again after a Harris free throw with 10 seconds left, but the Button layup with two seconds remaining forced overtime.
-Saint Leo then proceeded to hold the Chargers scoreless for nearly four minutes in the extra period on its way to securing the win.

-The 26 points for Sanders mark a career-best scoring output for the senior.
-The double-double for Sanders is the ninth of her career after she posted six a season ago and two during her sophomore season.
-The 13 rebounds for Sanders mark her highest totals since setting a career-best number with 14 against Shorter on Dec. 18, 2017.
