MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team picked up a road win on Saturday, knocking off host Montevallo 81-67. The Chargers improve to 11-10 (9-6 Gulf South Conference) with the victory, while UM falls to 11-12 (7-8 GSC).

Katie Speegle had consecutive layups and
Emiline Payne buried back-to-back treys to create a 10-0 run over two minutes early in the third that turned a four-point deficit into a lead that the Chargers would not relinquish the rest of the game.

-Four different Chargers scored in double figures including freshman
Holly Harris who poured in 19 on the strength of four made 3-pointers, and she added five rebounds and three assists to go along with a pair of steals and a block.

Baylee Johnson scored 18 and grabbed a team-best 10 rebounds to notch a double-double, and the senior also collected a team-high three steals while dishing out three assists.

Aryn Sanders added 15 for UAH and Payne chipped in with 10, and both collected four assists to match Speegle for the team high in helpers.
-For the game, the Chargers shot 53.1 percent including a strong 11-for-21 (52.4 percent) showing from beyond the arc, and UAH's defensive effort held Montevallo to a 38.5 percent shooting mark.Â
-Rebounds in the contest were even at 34-34.
-The Chargers logged 19 assists as a team on a total of 26 made buckets.

-After the lead exchanged hands three times in the opening minutes of the first quarter, Montevallo went ahead by as many as seven before taking a 21-15 lead into the second quarter.
-The lead grew to double figures at 30-20 with 5:12 left in the period, but the Chargers closed the final five minutes on a 14-4 run that pulled UAH into a 34-34 tie at the half.
-Montevallo scored the first two buckets of the third quarter before UAH's 10-0 spurt from Speegle and Payne put the guests ahead, and the Chargers led by as much as six points prior to carrying a 53-48 advantage into the game's final stanza.
-UAH outscored the Falcons 28-19 in the fourth, pushing the margin out to 14 points four different times including at the game's final buzzer with the score 81-67.

Noteworthy
-The double-double is the first of her career for Johnson who set a personal-best with the 10 rebounds.
-Harris has now scored a season-high 19 points in three different games, and she has recorded four 3-pointers in consecutive games, giving her a team-high 41 on the year.
-UAH's 52.4 percent shooting mark from beyond the arc is the best by the team this season and the best since shooting 54.5 percent against Mississippi College on Jan. 4, 2018.
