BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference released its weekly women's track & field honorees, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by
Angel Mobley as Co-GSC Track Athlete of the Week and
Jade Johnson as both the GSC Field Athlete of the Week and the GSC Freshman of the Week.

Mobley's weekly honor is the first of her senior campaign, while Johnson collects her first GSC Field Athlete of the Week award and her second GSC Freshman of the Week honor.

A native of Huntsville, Mobley leads NCAA Division II in the 10,000 meter with a time of 36:33.41 at the Rhodes Invitational over the weekend, as she is the only runner nationally to top the NCAA provisional mark of 36:35.97.

Johnson also topped a national provisional standard with a leap of 12.12 meters on Friday at the Rhodes Invitational, which also reset the program record which Johnson broke earlier this season with a leap of 11.11 meters at the UAH Charger Open.

UAH looks ahead to the MSU Relays in Starkville, Mississippi, this Friday and Saturday.
