ST. LOUIS | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's lacrosse team fell on the road on Sunday, dropping a 14-9 decision to host No. 17 Maryville. The Chargers slip to 1-7 (0-3 GLVC), while the Saints improve to 9-2 (3-1 GLVC).

Turning Point
-With the Chargers hanging tough and trailing by just a pair at halftime, Maryville scored seven of the first nine goals of the second half to seal the victory.

-UAH grabbed the first lead of the game with Russell and Phillips scoring nearly 30 seconds apart to give UAH a 2-0 advantage at the 13:42 mark of the first quarter, and though the Saints responded with a pair of goals, Campbell's strike with 12 seconds left in the period gave the guests a 3-2 lead going into the second.
-Mayville scored three straight to open the second, however, to go up 5-3 before Ranta's tally pulled UAH back within one at 5-4, and though the Saints scored twice more in the quarter, Zois scored with 12 seconds left in the second to make it a 7-5 game going into the break.
-The Saints started the third off strong, scoring four straight to open up an 11-5 lead, but Weaver and Stuber tallied in the final minute of the quarter to pull UAH within four at 11-7.
-Maryville then scored three straight in the first three minutes of the fourth to go up 14-7 before Stuber and Ranta scored later in the frame to create the 14-9 final.

Noteworthy
-Stuber has scored twice in consecutive games, giving the freshman six goals on the year, and he is tied with Phillips as both now have 10 points to rank second on the team.
-This is Ranta's second two-goal game of the season to give him five goals for the season.
-The 19 won faceoffs for Fowler are a season-high for the Murfreesboro, Tennessee, native.
