UAH Combines for Five NCAA Provisional Marks at Falcon Finale

MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's and women's track & field teams wrapped up its pre-Nationals schedules with the Falcon Finale on Saturday hosted by Montevallo, as the squads combined for five NCAA provisional marks at the meet.
 
Women's Notables
-Serenity Andrus topped the NCAA provisional mark in the 800 meter with a time of 2:11.83 for second place. Andrus time was a personal best in the 800 meter and she's now ranked 34th nationally in the event.
 
-Jade Johnson cleared the NCAA provisional standard in the triple jump with a second-place leap of 11.92 meters.
 
-Rebekah Voss finished first overall in the javelin throw at 44.40 meters, which outpaces the NCAA provisional threshold of 41.59.
 
-Lauren Clark finished first overall in the hammer throw as she posted 50.45 meters, giving her back-to-back meets with at least 50 meters in the event. Clark also earned second in the discus at 40.48 meters.
 
Men's notables
-Rob Russell bested the NCAA provisional mark of 58.68 meters in the javelin throw with a third-place toss of 59.18 meters.
 
-Trevian Jenkins eclipsed the NCAA provisional standard in a fourth-place performance in the 200 meter with a time of 21.33.
 
-Tyrique Davis-Giles matched his personal best in the 100 meter with a time of 10.68 for fourth place in the event.

-The 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships from May 23-25 in Kingsville, Texas, as select Chargers await the field for Nationals in the coming week.
