Brad Hill Named USTFCCCA South Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year

HUNTSVILLE | The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced the 2019 NCAA Division II Outdoor Regional honorees, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by Brad Hill as the South Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year.
 
Hill – who primarily works with the UAH throwers – helped the squad to 68 points in throwing events at the 2019 Gulf South Conference Championships, as the Chargers women's team took second place with individual championships by Erin Jewell (discus, shot put), Lauren Clark (hammer), and Rebekah Voss (javelin).
 
The Chargers women's throwers additionally produced NCAA provisional marks in the discus, shot put and javelin, with Voss representing the UAH throwers this weekend at the 2019 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Kingsville, Texas.
 
The final action of the 2019 outdoor campaign is set for this Thursday through at Javelina Stadium in Kingsville, Texas, as Voss will compete at Nationals along with teammates Jade Johnson in the triple jump from the women's team and Trevian Jenkins in the 400 meter from the men's squad.
