HUNTSVILLE | The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has announced its 2019 NFCA Division II All-America Teams on Wednesday night, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville's
Shelby Booker landed on the Third Team.

Booker is UAH softball's 23rd player to earn All-American status, and it is the 42nd time that a UAH player has garnered the national accolade.

The Madison, Alabama, native turned in a terrific sophomore campaign as she batted .444 on the season with 80 hits and 60 runs scored, and among her 80 hits were 13 doubles and a triple. The third baseman also walked 26 times to own a .510 on-base percentage, and she was impressive on the basepaths, stealing 43 bags in 46 attempts.

Nationally, Booker ranks 28th in batting average, and her hit total is the 11th-best mark in all of Division II. The sophomore also is 18th in the country in stolen bases, and with 1.07 runs per game, she is 27th in that statistical category.

Booker totaled an impressive 21 multi-hit games including six times in which she recorded three hits and three other instances that saw her have four hits in a game, and she posted the team's longest hitting streak of the season at 16 games.Â

The All-American Teams were announced Wednesday night at the Division II Championships Banquet in Denver.
