HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team started off the 2020-21 home slate with a 62-60 victory over visiting Union on Friday at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. UAH improves to 2-1, while UU dips to 2-1.

Sloan Mann, and the squad would not trail for the remainder of the contest en route to the 62-60 win on Friday.

- The Chargers and Bulldogs stormed out of the gate in the first quarter, as Union took a 20-16 edge at the first break.
-A defensive-heavy second quarter saw the Chargers slim the deficit by two points, outscoring UU 9-7 in the frame with the Bulldogs taking a 27-25 lead into halftime.
-UAH splashed five three-pointers in the third period to help the squad to outpace the visitors 23-15 in the stanza for a 48-42 lead with 10 minutes to play.
-Union chipped away at the Chargers lead to make it a 58-57 UAH advantage with 2:14 remaining, but the Blue and White would hold on for the 62-60 win thanks to a go-ahead layup by Pruitt with 15 seconds remaining.

-Harris has two or more steals in each of the Chargers three games this season, as she leads the roster this season with 12.
-This was UAH's second-ever win over Union, with both of the program's wins over the Bulldogs coming under head coach
