JACKSON, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team wrapped up its first weekend of Gulf South Conference action with a 70-67 win over Union on the road on Saturday afternoon. UAH improves to 2-1 (2-0 GSC), while UU dips to 2-2 (2-2 GSC).

-A 3-pointer by
Riley Webster with 17:14 remaining in the second half put the Chargers ahead 42-40, which started a 21-13 run for the majority of the second half by the Blue and White to guide the squad to its second win of the weekend with the 70-67 victory on Saturday.

Sam Orf with a team-high 20 points on the day, going 9-for-14 from the floor and 2-for-5 on 3-pointers while also posting a roster-best three assists.

-Union jumped out to a 24-13 lead over UAH in the first 10 minutes of the opening half on Saturday.
-A three-pointer by Shulman at 6:51 of the half kickstarted a 15-8 UAH run to close out the frame, which cut the hosts lead to 38-35 at the break.
-Webster's three-pointer with 17:14 remaining put UAH ahead for good, and the Chargers were able to outpace the Bulldogs 21-13 for a 60-53 lead with 10 minutes remaining.
-Union put together an 8-4 run over the last 5:56 of the game to bring it close, but UAH was able to hang on for the 70-67 win.

Noteworthy
-This is the second time in Orf's career that the senior has had back-to-back 20-point games, and the St. Louis native recorded his 300th career rebound in the contest.
-The double-double is the first of Shulman's career, and the 11 rebounds represent a career-best for the junior.
-UAH is now 16-2 all-time against Union.

-The Chargers will now be off for the holidays before returning to action with the Spragins Hall debut of the season coming on Jan. 2 and 3 against Mississippi College. Tip-off times are slated for 4 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively, and attendance will be limited to family members of the student-athletes only.
