JACKSON, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team opened up a three-game Gulf South Conference series at Union on Friday afternoon with a 5-0 victory. UAH improves to 6-4 (3-1 GSC), while UU dips to 3-6 (0-1 GSC).

Tyler Self went the distance with a complete-game shutout against the Bulldogs to lead the Chargers to the 5-0 win.

Scoring Breakdown
- The Chargers went on the board with two runs in the top of the third with a bases-loaded walk by
Tyler McCown followed by a sac fly to center by
John Trousdale.
- UAH added two runs in the fifth to extend the lead to 4-0, as Zach Duval and
Colin Brewer both notched RBI base hits in the frame.

Will Acuff capped off the UAH scoring effort in the top of the ninth with a sac fly to centerfield, which brought the game to its 5-0 final score.
