UAH Topples Spring Hill in Doubleheader Sweep Wednesday

MOBILE, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team notched a doubleheader sweep of Spring Hill in nonconference action on Wednesday afternoon on the road. UAH improves to 9-5, while SHC dips to 9-8.

Game-Changer
- Game one of the doubleheader on Wednesday went down to the wire as the Chargers took a 7-6 lead with one run in the top of the eighth before Brooks Brophy locked down the bottom half of the frame for the game-one victory.
 
Inside the Box Score
- Colin Brewer led the Chargers offense in the opening game of the doubleheader going 2-for-4 with a team-high three RBI, one home run and one run scored.
- John Trousdale also notched a homer in the contest as he went 1-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI.
- Tyler McCown also had a two-hit performance out of the lead-off spot with a team-high two runs scored and one stolen base.
- Wes Anderson, Zach Duvall and Dorien Jenkins each had one base hit and one run scored.
- Anderson added a team-high two walks, while Duvall registered one RBI.
- Wells Deloney started on the mound for the Chargers, working 1.0 inning with three runs allowed and one strikeout.

Game-Changer
- Back-to-back singles with one out in the top of the seventh by McCown and Trousdale set up a two-RBI double by Brewer, which put the Chargers up 5-4 on the way to earning the doubleheader sweep.

- UAH totaled seven base hits in game two, led by Trousdale who went 2-for-3 with a team-high two runs scored and one walk.
- Brewer posted a roster-best three RBI while going 1-for-4 at the plate with one double.
- Both Malave Bettinger and Hunter Nabors had doubles in the contest, as Bettinger added a run scored and Nabors drove in one run.
