Zak Welsh recorded 18 saves, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's lacrosse team picked up a 9-8 road win over Tusculum on Saturday afternoon. The Chargers improve to 2-2 on the season, while the Pioneers fall to 2-3.

Turning Point
-With the Chargers enjoying a man-advantage thanks to a delay of game call on a Tusculum player,
Emory Weaver fed it to Campbell who scored to lift UAH to the dramatic victory.

Inside the Box Score
-Weaver finished the game with a three-point performance as he also scored twice, and
Kevin Coppinger matched him with a pair of goals for himself.

Adam Zois and
Reid Vender both had a goal and an assist for two points, while each of
Jack Utrevis,
Brody Phillips, and Campbell added a goal.

-UAH finished the game going 22-for-25 in clears, while the hosts were 16-for-18.
-The Chargers went 3-for-4 in extra-man chances, while Tusculum was just 1-for-5.

Inside the Flow
-UAH got on the board first with Looby assisting on Weaver's man-up tally at the 12:31 mark of the opening quarter, but the Pioneers would score the next four straight to go up 4-1 before Utrevis scored unassisted in the final minute of the quarter to make it 4-2.
-Two more for the home team made it a four-goal deficit, but Phillips and Vender would score around another Tusculum goal, allowing Weaver's second man-up goal of the game to pull UAH within two at 7-5 at the halftime break.
-Coppinger then scored the lone goal of the third, and Zois tied the contest at 7-7 with 4:01 left.Â
-Giving UAH its first lead of the game, Coppinger scored with 1:12 remaining in regulation, but the Pioneers would even the game at 8-8 with just 10 seconds left to force overtime.
-Neither team was able to produce a shot in the extra session until Campbell's game-winning marker with 1:06 showing on the clock.

-This was UAH's first overtime game since the inaugural season, and the Chargers are now 3-0 in overtime contests.
-Campbell has scored in three straight, and he now owns five goals on the season.
-Welsh now owns 61 saves on the season, averaging 15.3 stops per contest.
