HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team won its sixth straight game on Sunday afternoon with a 15-12 victory over West Alabama at Charger Park to complete the three-game Gulf South Conference series. UAH improves to 12-5 (7-2 GSC), while UWA dips to 6-10 (1-8 GSC).

Game-Changer
- After UAH took a 7-6 lead in the sixth inning, the Chargers powered their way to an eight-run bottom of the eighth that included a grand slam by
John Trousdale and a three-run homer by
Tyler McCown as the Blue & White went on to win the series finale 15-12 on Sunday.

Scoring Breakdown
- West Alabama was first on the board with four runs in the top of the second, before adding one run in the fifth to own a 5-0 advantage.
- The Chargers notched back-to-back home runs in a four-run bottom of the sixth to cut the UWA lead to 5-4, thanks to a three-run homer by Trousdale and a solo shot by
Colin Brewer.
- The Tigers added one run in the seventh to extend the advantage to 6-4, before a three-run rally by the Chargers in the home half gave UAH a 7-6 lead.
- Trousdale's grand slam in the eighth pushed the advantage to 11-6, before
Palmer Ford notched an RBI double and McCown sent a three-run homer sailing over the right-field fence to make it 15-6 UAH.
- West Alabama threatened with six runs in the top of then ninth, but UAH hung on for the 15-12 victory.

- Trousdale's multi-homer performance is his first as a Chargers and the second by a UAH player this season.

- The Chargers last GSC series sweep was April 12-13 of last season against Union.
