CLEVELAND, Miss. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team picked up a 61-60 road win on Sunday at Delta State. The Chargers improve to 5-3 (5-3 Gulf South Conference) with the win, while DSU falls to 3-7 (3-7 GSC).

Turning Point
-With the Chargers trailing by one and just over a minute to go in the game,
Sloan Mann would block a shot and then get a defensive board on the next DSU shot attempt, giving UAH the ball back and allowing
Selena Pruitt's jumper with 34 seconds remaining to prove to be the difference in the road win for the Chargers.

Inside the Flow

-The hosts would push the lead out to as many as eight points twice in the early action in the period, and although UAH would pull within one at 22-21 with 3:49 left, DSU carried a 31-26 advantage into the locker room at the half.
-Five straight from Pruitt to begin the third immediately puled the Chargers into a 31-31 tie, and the quarter would feature three ties and four lead changes with the Lady Statesmen leading 42-41 going into the final quarter.
-After a Woods jumper briefly gave UAH the advantage less than a minute into the stanza, the Lady Statesmen would go on a strong push that provided the hosts with a 54-44 lead at the 7:00 mark of the fourth.
-A 13-4 run for the Chargers pushed UAH to just one off the lead at 58-57 with 3:44 remaining, but after DSU went back ahead by three, a Woods layup and the late heroics from Mann and Pruitt would give the Chargers the victory.

Noteworthy
