CLEVELAND, Miss. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team dropped a road contest on Monday night, falling 64-42 to host Delta State. The Chargers slip to 5-4 (5-4 Gulf South Conference), while the Lady Statesmen improve to 4-7 (4-7 GSC).

-The Lady Statesmen outscored UAH 23-8 in the fourth quarter to earn the split of the two-game series.

-Going in front by as many as 10, DSU would outscore the guests 15-6 in the second quarter to build up a 30-22 halftime lead.
-UAH would pull within five on three different occasions in the third quarter before Delta State was able to generate a 41-34 advantage going into the final quarter.
-The hosts then had the big fourth to seal the contest.
