JACKSON, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team started off its weekend road schedule with a 3-0 victory (25-22, 25-14, 25-20) at Union on Friday night in Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 12-6 (6-2 GSC), while UU dips to 13-7 (5-3 GSC).

Molly Presnell paced the Chargers offense with a strong all-around performance on Friday, as the junior posted a team-high 13 kills on a .417 hitting percentage to go along with nine digs and two total blocks.

Kendall Scharbert also had a successful attacking night at Union, posting a roster-leading .450 hitting percentage on 10 kills. Her 10 kills were second on the roster, followed by
Paris Morris and
Ally Kennis with seven successful swats apiece.

Scharbert additionally led the Chargers defense with seven total blocks.

Sabrina Duncan helped guide the offense with a team-best 35 assists, as she also added five digs, two total blocks and one service ace.

Defensively,
Shayla Libby guided the squad with 12 digs in addition to a team-leading five service aces against the Bulldogs. Presnell's nine digs ranked second, followed by
Katie Sharp with eight.

The Chargers came from behind in the first set to win 25-22 as UAH scored six of the final seven points to take a 1-0 match lead. UAH cruised through the second by a score of 25-14, before wrapping up the three-set victory with a 25-20 win in the third.

UAH looks ahead to a Saturday GSC matchup at Christian Brothers at 2 p.m.
