VALDOSTA, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team fell on the road on Sunday by a 1-0 score at host Valdosta State. UAH is now 5-6-2 (3-5-1 Gulf South Conference), while VSU moves to 9-4-1 (6-3-1 GSC).

The long goal of the game came in the 27th minute when Molly Wollridge scored what would prove to be the game-winner for the Blazers.

The shot was one of 10 that Valdosta State would take on the day en route to holding a 10-6 advantage in attempts, though the margin for VSU in shots in goal was narrower at 6-5.

Adriana Wright finished the contest with five saves in goal for the Chargers, while
Nova Schmiedtke had a team-best two shots – of which both were on target – in the game.

VSU had entered the contest scoring nearly 2.4 goals per game before the Chargers held the team to just the one goal on Sunday.

The Chargers will now return to the Tennessee Valley and host Shorter on Friday evening at 6 p.m. at Charger Park. UAH will honor its departing seniors prior to the game.
