HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team capped off its four-match home stand with a 3-0 victory (25-22, 26-24, 25-16) over Auburn Montgomery on Saturday afternoon at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall in Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 11-5 (5-1 GSC), while AUM dips to 11-8 (3-3 GSC).

Kendall Scharbert led the Chargers offense in the three-set win on Saturday with a team-high 13 kills and a .684 hitting percentage to go along with five total blocks to complement the defense.

Paris Morris finished second to Scharbert with nine kills on the day in addition to a .529 hitting percentage.

Shayla Libby anchored the Chargers defense with a roster-leading 13 digs against AUM, followed by
Molly Presnell with 10 scoops. Presnell nearly had a double-double with eight kills in the match as well.

Sabrina Duncan had a strong all-around performance for the Blue & White with a team-best 34 assists in addition to four kills, three total blocks and nine digs.

Overall, UAH had a .330 hitting percentage for the match while limiting AUM to a .150 swing rate over three sets.

The Chargers came from behind to take the opening set 25-22, as the squad overcame a 20-18 deficit by scoring seven of the final nine points in the first.

UAH fought off a late push from AUM in the second set with a three-point rally to win the frame 26-24, before the Chargers cruised through the third by a score of 25-16 to seal the three-set victory.

The Chargers hit the road next week for three GSC matches, beginning on Tuesday at West Florida at 6 p.m.
