UAH Slips Against Mississippi College in Home Debut

HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to visiting Mississippi College on Sunday at Charger Park. UAH slips to 1-1-0 (1-1-0 Gulf South Conference), while MC improves to 1-0-0 (1-0-0 GSC).
 
Turning Points
-Mississippi College opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, and that 1-0 score line would hold until the 55th when the guests scored again to make it 2-0.
-The Chargers would get on the board in the 88th when Melanie Brannon assisted on Carmen Endicott's score that would create the eventual 2-1 final.
 
Inside the Box Score
-Laura Hasani registered a team-best three shots, and she matched Endicott with two attempts that were on frame.
-Adriana Wright made 11 saves in goal for the Chargers.
-The Choctaws built up a 24-8 edge in shots including a 14-4 difference in shots on goal.
-Corners were even in the game at two for both teams. 
-Just 15 fouls were whistled, and the referee only had one booking on the day.
 
Noteworthy
-Endicott's tally marks the first collegiate goal for the freshman from Las Vegas.
-The 11 saves for Wright is a total that is just one off her career high of 12 which she had twice in her freshman year a season ago.
-Brannon now has seven assists in her career.
 
Next Time Out
-The Chargers will head across town to take on Alabama A&M on Wednesday. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
