BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly women's lacrosse award winners, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by
Hailey Gallant as GSC Offensive Player of the Week and
Tori Ryan as GSC Defensive Player of the Week.

This is Gallant's second GSC weekly award this season, while Ryan collects the first of her career.

Gallant led the Chargers offense overall in wins over Sewanee and Lewis this past week with a team-high 16 points on nine goals and seven assists. She had a week-best 10 points from six goals and four assists at Sewanee, and added four ground balls and two caused turnovers in the 23-2 victory.

Ryan played the majority of time in goal for the Chargers in both victories over Sewanee and Lewis, totaling 11 saves and seven goals allowed over the two-game span. She notched a season-best seven saves in the 16-7 win over Lewis to wrap up the weekend on Saturday.

The Chargers are back on the road to Quincy this Sunday. First draw is at 5 p.m. in Quincy, Illinois.
