UAH Cruises to Three-Set Win over UWA on Senior Day

HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team throttled West Alabama 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-12) on Saturday afternoon on Senior Day at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. UAH improves to 3-1 (3-1 GSC), while UWA dips to 2-6 (1-4 GSC).
 
Turning Point
-UAH started off the match with a 25-13 win and a .407 team hitting percentage in the first set, as the Chargers would not look back in the three-set win over the Tigers.
 
Inside the Box Score
-Senior Abby Brooks paced the Chargers offense with a team-high 15 kills on a .387 hitting percentage, as she also ranked tied for second on the roster with nine digs.
-Kendall Scharbert rated second on the UAH attack with 11 kills on a roster-best .647 hitting percentage, and she additionally paced the defense with six total blocks.
-Sabrina Duncan nearly notched a double-double with 27 assists and nine digs in the victory.
