UAH Moves on to GSC Spring Championship Series Final after Win over AUM

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team advanced to the Gulf South Conference Spring Championship Series final with a 3-1 win (25-22, 25-20, 19-25, 25-22) over Auburn Montgomery on Wednesday afternoon. UAH improves to 5-1, while AUM dips to 6-2.

-UAH looks ahead to the GSC Spring Championship Series final on Thursday at 1 p.m. against the winner of the matchup between Mississippi College and Montevallo.
 
Turning Point
-The Chargers took both of the first two sets on Wednesday by scores of 25-22 and 25-20 as UAH went on to win in four sets over the Warhawks.
 
Inside the Box Score
-Abby Brooks paced the Chargers offense with 19 kills on a .263 hitting percentage while also posting 11 digs to rate second on the roster.
-Molly Presnell ranked second on the squad with 12 kills on a .279 hitting percentage, as she also posted four total blocks and five digs.
-Shayla Libby anchored the Chargers defense with 23 digs, followed by Brooks with 11 digs and Kennedy Sellers with nine scoops.
-Sabrina Duncan notched a team-high 44 assists and three service aces while adding nine digs.
-Kendall Scharbert notched eight kills on the day and seven total blocks.
-Paris Morris tied with Scharbert with seven total blocks.

-Brooks' 19 kills are a career-high for the senior.
