UAH Clinches Series Win at Christian Brothers with 6-2 Win Sunday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville finished off the three-game Gulf South Conference series at Christian Brothers with a 6-2 win on Sunday afternoon. UAH improves to 7-9 (7-8 GSC), while CBU dips to 1-10 (1-10 GSC).
 
Game-Changer
-UAH starting pitcher Parker Warren hurled 7.0 shutout innings with three hits allowed and five strikeouts to lead the Chargers past the Buccaneers by a final score of 6-2.
 
Inside the Box Score
-UAH posted 10 base hits as a team in the win on Sunday, led by Brett Barbee who went 3-for-4 with one run scored.
-Will Acuff went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI, as he was the lone Charger with multiple extra-base hits in the game.
-Tyler McCown drove in a team-high two runs off a two-RBI double down the left field line in the top of the first.
-Landon Ezzell and Garrett Bodine each went 1-for-3 with one run, one RBI and two walks.
-Bodine notched a team-high two steals.
-Warren improved to 1-0 with the win, after tossing 7.0 innings with no runs, three hits and five strikeouts.
