UAH Wraps Competition at KMS Invitational

 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's and women's track & field teams continued their 2022 indoor campaign at the KMS Invitational at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Sunday.
 
Notable Performances
-Hannah Gant had a stellar performance in the weight throw as she broke the program record with a toss of 16.10 meters for third place overall.
-The Chargers 400-meter relay team of Chelsie Burnett, Zakiria Holifield, Erin Cannon and Ronni VanZant generated a first-place time of 4:06.27.
-Wilson McClain finished first overall in 60-meter hurdles for the second meet in a row with a time of 8.16. His time tops the NCAA provisional standard.
-Erin Cannon notched a third-place finish in 800 meters with a time of 2:24.39.
-Evans Wright registered 16.70 meters in the weight throw for first place in the event.
-The Chargers boasted a pair of third-place finishes in both mile races with Allan Anderson posting a time of 4:21.65 in the men's race and Caroline Ursprung clocking in at 5:17.79 in the women's competition.
-Stephen Tanner had a first-place finish in the shot put with a hurl of 15.38 meters.
- UAH registered two runners in the top four in the 3000-meter race as Sam Wilhelm finished second at 8:29.84 and Jack Elliott placed fourth at 8:34.61.
- Cameron Clark notched a first-place height of 1.95 meters in the high jump.
