HOOVER, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville wrapped up play at the 2022 South Region Crossover at the Finley Center with a 3-1 loss (19-25, 29-27, 19-25, 20-25) to Lynn on Saturday afternoon. UAH slips to 10-13, while LU improves to 14-3.
 
Junior 
Gracie McGee had a strong all-around performance for the Chargers, tying for the team lead in kills with nine and rating third on the team with eight digs.
 
Fellow junior 
Paris Morris posted a team-best .400 hitting percentage while tying with McGee with nine kills against Lynn.
 
Tatiana Bonilla led the Chargers defense overall with 12 digs, followed by 
Hailey Holshouser with nine scoops.
 
UAH generated seven service aces in the matchup, guided by 
Savannah Rutledge and Holshouser with two apiece. Rutledge additionally led the squad with 17 assists.
 
Lynn pulled ahead early in the match with a 25-19 win over UAH in the first, but UAH would rebound with a come-from-behind 29-27 victory in the second. Lynn took the lead twice after both teams accrued 25 points in the frame before UAH scored the final three points.
 
The Fighting Knights went on to take the ensuing third and fourth sets 25-19 and 25-20, respectively, to wrap up LU's four-set victory.
 
The Chargers jump back into Gulf South Conference play in the Peach State next weekend with matchups at Valdosta State on Friday and West Georgia on Saturday.
