UAH Concludes 2022 Campaign with Setback at Lee

Box Score CLEVELAND, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team ended the 2022 season on Sunday afternoon by falling at Lee 3-1 in Gulf South Conference action. UAH slides to 5-7-5 (4-5-4 GSC), while LU improves to 10-2-5 (8-2-3 GSC).
 
Over the Chargers last nine matches of 2022, UAH went 4-2-3 in a strong push for the GSC tournament but just missed out on a berth by one point in the conference standings.
 
Lee went ahead with two goals early into the contest with a goal in the 15th minute by Jaliana Lopes, and the Flames went on to take a 2-0 advantage into the half thanks to Ellie Crisler's 31st-minute tally.
 
The Flames pushed their advantage to 3-0 with a goal by Tatum Mill in the 47th minute, but the Chargers slimmed the deficit to 3-1 in the 61st when Carmen Endicott converted a penalty kick.
 
Endicott has now scored seven goals this season and leads the Chargers with 14 points. She has additionally scored on both of her penalty kick opportunities in 2022.
 
Both sides went scoreless to wrap up the second half, as Lee won the contest by the 3-1 margin.
 
UAH goalkeeper Adriana Wright made eight saves in 82 minutes in goal while also navigating 10 corner kicks by the hosts. She finishes her career with 45 games played, 3950 minutes, and 254 saves, which all rank in the top five in program history.
 
This was the 27th season of UAH women's soccer and the fourth under head coach James Ballamy.
